SUMMARY

Red zone – you must end your rental at a citybike station.

YOU CAN RENT ANY MANKELI E-BIKE THAT YOU FIND ON THE MAP IN THE APP

The map indicates the location of the citybike stations, the number of available bikes in each and the location of bikes outside the stations. E-bikes rented or paused by others or waiting for maintenance are not visible on the map.
 
All Mankeli bikes are equipped with GPS. When searching for an available Mankeli bike please note that the accuracy of the GPS in an urban environment may vary. Therefore, the location of a bike may differ slightly from the one indicated on the map.

 CITYBIKE STATIONS

The citybike stations can be recognized from a turquoise coloured sign containing the Mankeli bike logo and instructions for use.  The location of citybike stations is shown in the Freebike application and on the map above.

RED ZONE

Red zone: You may ride there and "pause" your e-bike wherever you want, but in the Red zone you must end your rental at a citybike station.

GEOFENCE

Geofence: This is the thick Red line on the map. If you cross it, the e-bike will start sending warning sounds to you, and the engine will start braking. Turn around and go back inside the Geofence - you have 3 minutes to do this before the bike will stop.. Riding outside of the "Geofence" is prohibited and may be penalised. The user is liable for all damages incurred to the Mankeli e-bike. WHERE NOT TO END YOUR RENTAL

The Freebike application indicates if you are trying to end your rental in an area not designated as the green zone. Once you have successfully returned your bike, the lights will switch off. Note that the responsibility of the user for the e-bike ends when it is successfully and correctly returned. Not ending the rental and just leaving your bike in a red area or outside the Geofence is strictly prohibited and will result in additional charges to the user.

If you find an available bike in a Red area - outside of a station, you may rent it as you would a bike in the station.
