Contactless Payments and Rides

We have seen that many users are using contactless payment when renting ebikes, this is great, however, note that when communicating with customer service about contactless rides, you must ALWAYS provide a receipt of the said ride, otherwise customer service will not be able to help you, you can get your receipts here: https://kaupunkipyorat.lahti.fi/kuitit.html receipts are necessary when communicating to customer service about your contactless payment/ride.

Rent bikes with a payment card

Contactless payment allows users to rent a bike using their payment card, and the ride is charged according to the minute price. The minute price is 20 cents per minute in the 2024 season. Contactless payment users do not need the Freebike application to rent bikes.

Mastercard, Visa, Visa Electron and Eurocard are valid payment cards for contactless payment. You can pay for the trip with the Google Pay and Apple Pay applications if the payment card information has been added.

Users cannot automatically receive a receipt or a paper ticket for contactless payment. However, they can print the receipt afterwards from the customer portal.

Mankeli customer service helps with any questions regarding contactless payment. Freebike introduces the new payment method for the bikes in cooperation with Mastercard.

The introduction of contactless payment does not affect the tickets. When a customer has purchased a season pass or other tickets, they still rent the bikes on the application.

Before the start of the season:

Check that you have the latest version of the Freebike application and update it if necessary, thank you!

Asemamuutoksia kaudelle 2024

Tulevalla Mankeli-kaudella pyöräilijöiden käytössä on 500 kaupunkipyörää ja 60 asemaa. Suurin osa Mankeli-asemista pysyy tulevalla kaudella samoina, mutta muutamia muutoksia on luvassa. Jokimaalle tulee uusi asema. Asema parantaa osaltaan alueen liikenneyhteyksiä ja palvelee kehittyvää teollisuusaluetta. Hennalan, Asemantaustan, Lotilan ja Vipusenkadun Mankeli-asemien sijaintiin tehdään pieniä muutoksia palautteiden ja käyttäjämäärien perusteella. Poliisiasema, Harjukatu ja Ilmarisentie vaihtavat paikkaa ja ne nimetään uudelleen. Asemat ovat tällä kaudella Rykmentinkatu, Vuorikatu ja Metsäpellontie. Kolme viime kaudella vähäisellä käytöllä ollutta asemaa poistetaan käytöstä. Asemat ovat Ahtiala, Lähde ja Renkomäki. Pyörien käyttö on lisääntynyt paljon ja asemia oli viime kaudella välillä tyhjillään. Haluamme varmistaa pyörien saatavuuden mahdollisimman monelle, joten asemakohtaista pyörämäärää täytyy kasvattaa. Pyörien määrä pysyy ennallaan, joten poistamalla vähäisellä käytöllä olevia asemia voimme parantaa pyörien tasaisempaa jakaantumista asemille. Mankeli-kausi alkaa 22.4. Buy a season ticket at a discounted price

The discount price for a Mankeli season ticket is 55 euros. The presale starts on 8.4 and lasts until the start of the season, 22.4.

The presale price only applies to the season ticket. Without the discount, the seven-month season ticket costs 60 euros.

Other ticket types are three months, a month, a week, a day, and pay-as-you-go or minute pricing. You can buy the tickets on the Freebike application.

Vandalism on Mankeli-bikes

If you see someone vandalising the bikes, please report it to Mankeli customer service (lahticitybike@freebike.com tai +358 413 140 858) or to the police. Always check the bike before starting your journey and report any malfunctions on Mankeli-application, when you have the bike selected on the app. Best regards Citybike team

Some Android Users - Quick Fix

Hyvä asiakas, HUOM! Tietyissä Android puhelimissa on havaittu ongelmia, lainaus ei näy sovelluksessa tai tulee ilmoitus palvelu ei ole käytössä. Ongelmia ilmennyt mm. kiinalaisissa puhelimissa Xiaomi ja OnePlus (Honor) sekä joissakin Samsung malleissa.

Tässä ohje ongelman korjaamiseen:

1. Siirry laitteesi asetuksiin

2. Siirry kohtaan Sovellukset

3. Valitse "Freebike-sovellus"

4. Siirry kohtaan Tallennus ja POISTA SOVELLUKSEN TIEDOT JA VÄLIMUISTI

5. Asenna sovellus uudelleen

6. Voit kirjautua sisään ja käyttää sovellusta normaalisti.

Dear customer, NOTE! Users of ANDROID devices who encountered issues with renting a bike, specifically while renting an ebike the app showed "service unavailable '' (after the user rented the ebike and the rental seemingly disappeared while actually being active). It's only users who have phones from China, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Honor and certain Samsung models.

Please follow these steps to FIX the issue:

1. Go to settings of your device

2. Go to Apps

3. Choose "Freebike application"

4. Go to Storage and DELETE DATA AND CACHE OF THE APP

5. THEN reinstall the application

6. This will solve the problem - you can log in and use the application normally.
